Deedz Terms of Use

1. What you are buying

A song request is a priority request to the DJ — not a wager and not a guarantee that a song will be played. You name an amount (your Offer). The DJ accepts or passes. Only if the DJ accepts are you asked to pay: your Offer plus any service fee shown before you pay. You then have 10 minutes to pay; if you don’t, the request lapses and nothing is charged. You can withdraw your Offer while it is still waiting for the DJ, and nothing is charged.

If Deedz is running in “pay upfront” mode instead (the payment step shows which), you pay when you send the Offer, and a passed or expired request is refunded to your card automatically.

2. Payments and refunds

• Payments are processed by Ziina, licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE. Deedz never sees your card details. On the payment page the merchant is shown as “dentaco” — that is us.
• Passed, expired, withdrawn or unpaid requests cost nothing.
• If your payment reaches us too late for your song to go to the DJ — for example after the set has ended — it is refunded to your card automatically.
• If you paid for an accepted song that was not played, email us within 7 days with your request link. We review every case and refund where the song was not played; the decision is ours, made in good faith.
• Refunds go back to the card you paid with; the time it takes to show depends on your bank.

3. The venue and the music

The venue and the DJ decide what is played and when. The venue — not Deedz — runs the premises and is responsible for its licences, staff, safety and events. Some songs cannot be requested (for example religious, political or children’s content) and the DJ may pass on anything.

If you attach an audio file, you confirm you are allowed to share it with the DJ. Files go to that night’s DJ only and are deleted within 36 hours.

Tonight’s queue on the venue page shows other guests the songs requested and accepted, with the amounts paid for accepted songs — never who sent them.

4. Your conduct

Don’t send offensive, unlawful or misleading notes or files, and don’t misuse the service. We may block requests from anyone who does. You must be 18 or over, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission, to pay.

5. Liability and law

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any request is limited to the amount you paid for it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the UAE. Questions or complaints: support@deedz.ae.
